Ethics Manifesto

The team and I have been brainstorming about what we care the most about, and how to share it with the OHMME community. One thing I am really intent on expressing is that many companies promise the world, and consistently underdeliver and are unrealistic about what they can provide.

Here is a small manifesto of what makes us tick at OHMME.

Sustainability:

  • Be as transparent as possible with what we do and why we do it.
  • Aim to be as sustainable as possible by creating products that have minimal impact on our environment.
  • Leverage new technology to create great products from recycled materials.
  • Be open to change  - this is a learning experience for us - if we need to change something to be more economical or sustainable, let us know
  • Work with factories who keep the health and livelihood of workers in mind.
  • Harm no animals in the process of making our products.

Customer Service:

  • Listen to customers to stay on top of what our community is interested in and why.
  • Provide next-level, friendly service to both existing and potential customers.
  • Provide a fun and stimulating work environment for all OHMME employees.
  • Constantly engage with customers for feedback on products & service

Community:

  • Provide a platform (Blog) for others to share personal stories, insights and experiences with others around the world.
  • Be involved in the local communities (eventually worldwide) by hosting + sponsoring events to spread our message
  • Give back to the community that provides us with the experience to do what we do (charities, giveaways, contests, etc.)
  • Build a team of ambassadors + influencers who embody our core values and share them with their followings.
  • Be non-coercive with the people we work with.

Education:

  • Build a community interest in physical, emotional and psychological well-being
  • Raise awareness for men’s mental/emotional health issues
  • Use our marketing tools to not only sell our products, but to inform and educate customers
  • Educate our customers on fabrics, methods of sustainability, health and well-being.

Business:

  • Smile in the face of adversity. Starting a business is hard. There are some tough moments, but we won't get beaten down.
  • Be proud of what we do and pay fair wages.
  • Make profits so we can prove that new businesses can succeed with ethical and environmental foc
